Have you ever looked at your bank account and wonder how you’ve spent all your money on food?

Me too.

To avoid getting overwhelmed by your monthly credit card bill, we have summarized some tips and tricks to save money during the Covid-19 period.

Tip #1: Finding deals on delivery apps (Eg. Collins’s Restaurant)

Currently, Collins is having a 20% discount for all takeaway orders direct from their store. They are also having a 50% off on orders ordered through Foodpanda, Grabfood and Deliveroo.

With all the additional charges from the third party sites, will it be cheaper to order direct from Collins or through the applications?

Tip #2: Getting a subscription plan. (Grab)

Grab enthusiasts rejoice! After the very unfortunate suspension of the All Access Plan and Commute Plan, Grab has come up with 2 new plans – Daily Value Plan and Food Plan.

The Daily Value Plan gives you 15% off your ride, through 25 vouchers (valid on selected rides). In addition, it gives you 5 food vouchers for free GrabFood delivery, with a minimum order of $12. The Daily Value Plan is great if you are a frequent user of both Grab and GrabFood.

Grab’s Food Plan is a cheaper alternative if you are stuck at home like most of us during this period of time. THis subscription plan gives you 50 food vouchers for free GrabFood delivery. The food voucher cannot be used in conjunction with other Grab promotions or Grab Rewards.

One thing to note is that the vouchers have to be purchased with Grabpay or GrabPay Credits

Tip #3: Buying Cash Vouchers – up to 15% off

If you are not a frequent user of delivery apps, and wish to get the best bang for your buck, you can consider purchasing cash vouchers insteads. These vouchers are available on platforms such as Shopee and Lazada and range from $10 onwards.

How it works is you essentially purchase a fixed-value voucher on one of the previously mentioned platforms at a discounted price and use it to offset purchases when you actually purchase the food.

Online Enquiry

Very often, it is only when you reach the bank or meet a lender that you are told your credit rating is not good enough for a loan. That can be immensely frustrating when your need for additional cash or extra funds is urgent. Use our Online Enquiry service to find out if you are eligible for a loan — it is easy, and it is fast.
